So.. there we were ... final night in tripod Dublin, Kings of the god damn world. Jumping around, screaming, hugging, kissing, laughing, some people that came to support were even crying. Probably the best night of the tinos short career to date. And then ... crash ! bang ! Welcome to contractsville!
For anyone who doesnt know... we won the Irish final, which meant we went to manchester. little did we know the night before the competition we would receive a call from Ireland telling us to take a look at a 69 page contract that had just been sent.. (not 12 hours before we were due to play the biggest show of our lives) to the tarrintino.com inbox. We were angry, confused and emotionally shattered. We argued amongst ourselves about the very very few pro's and top heavy cons of going ahead with the whole bodog thing. Im not going to get into what the contract was about all we know is we had to sign it. I been told since i first got into music. DONT SIGN ANYTHING WITHOUT A LAWYER!  So we opted out. lost a hell of a lot of money as did all the people who flew out to support us. We got a lot of promotion and met a lot of really really cool people from other bands, so all was not lost. If any member of a pounger band happens to read this. please be careful, there are so many sharks out there its not even funny. Like anything there are good people, we have met both i feel. 
Ok.. next rant... Is it just us or does any other band feel like there is NO ONE out there to help out bands unless they are in that certain arty farty genre of music?. please let us know..All these so called "helpful" events you can go to that have the same old people spouting the same old thing we all know.. or these silly gigs that you play to your friends you sold tickets to so some "promoter" can put the gig on in the first place. Any bands looking to set up good quality gigs get in contact with us. lets cut out the middle man and do this shit ourselves. Thats all for now.. tea time ... i will leave you with a few points:)

1. Dont sign anything you dont get a lawyer to check out first. 
2. Make a joint band decision on everything, all in or nothing
3. Remember who came to support you and who promised to and didnt.
4. Make friends with bands, were all here for the same thing
5. If like us, you dont get one of these prestigious places in these magical showcase gigs.. Dont let it get you down Get it done yourself! Who needs em ;)  

Bodog Irish Final is coming pretty soon. All eyes and ears in the tino camp are firmly on that at the moment.. were putting so much effort into getting people to come.. i hope they do. I hope everyrone who even likes us a lil bit comes to support us .. we really wanna go to Manchester to pit our talents against other top bands !
Does anyone know of any original gigs in Dublin... preferably a set up with bands that can play songs and have a bass player !.. really getting sick of trying to be heard to people who want to hear good music but have to listen to this muck "bands" churn out on the Irish music scene. I dont mean up and coming, rehearse every hour god sends and actually are a bit decent bands... i mean the ones who just learned to play guitar last month cus they like the sound of Arctic Monkeys and think it will impress their (girl) friends. Honest to god i thought i had seen bad bands... but some of these lads take the god damn biscuit. If they put as much time into practice as they did into their hair we would all be better off. We waited the other night for over 6 hours... SIX HOURS !!! to play a set... the crowd wasnt bad.. but as the night got on and the bands got progressivly worse(and the sets got longer) and then had the bad manners to up and leave as soon as they finished their shit set taking their 3 friends with them.. we were losing the will to live. Anyways .. long story short.. or to cut a tino set short we had our first "walk off" .. and my god am i glad we did .. as we walked out the theme to "The good the bad and the Ugly" played in the background ... nice !!! :)Ok rant over.. Bodog anyone ?..  

Well in case word is not out there enough .. Were looking for a manager. Someone full time.. someone who can put as much work into us as we do.  Anyone interested.. email us or you know where we are. Were also looking for designs.. we need a new logo. Other than that .. Gigs are coming thick and fast.. were rehearsing every hour we can. Got some new material in the pipeline ready to rock you with. Whats the next single gonna be .. lots of people throwing ideas at us.. were still not sure.. gonna get somethin on the ol radio pretty soon though .. thats all from me for now .. laters, Tino! xx
